For those who are currently in the massage therapy field, what things worked or not worked for you? Would there be a different route you would have taken in this field? I also want to take into account tuition, accreditation, instructors, etc…?

Choose a massage school that is best for you -one that will meet your needs for a learning environment and your learning style. Do your research on the various schools. Visit them and talk to the teachers, the students and recent grads and past grads.
If I was going to do it over, I probably would go to college for marketing and business and hire some poor massage therapist to do all the work while I go on vacations and go to various spas.
The biggest thing is that it is really more about learning to take care of yourself -not taking care of others. It is about the money despite what you may think as you need money in order to continue being in business and paying the bills etc.
CA is one of the worst states for becoming a massage therapist as far as licensing requirements. Each city has different requirements.
