Please i need to know the difference between the two of them especially with regard to job prospects. Which one has a wider scope for employment?

A BS in computer science will focus more on the mathematics side of computer; programming, theory, etc. BS in computers would focus on more of what you would find in the real world. Now, what kind of work are you looking for. If you are looking for lab or developing, go with computer science, but if you are looking for some more practical working knowledge go with computing.
From experience, it doesn't really matter what degree you have in the computer field it's your computer experience or ability to figure stuff out. Certifications are even better in some aspects. During an interview for a server administrator position, I was told that they could care less if I had a degree or not. It's all on the job training. Given it's hard to get a job where one can get it, but you just have to try. I'm getting my start by working as a data entry clerk. I've also had four years in the Navy working with computer too, that always helps.
