How can I install the Sims 2 games onto an external hard drive?
The games take up too much memory on my pc. I tried to get it on the external hard drive before but I couldn’t get it to work. I installed all the files on the G drive which is where the external hard drive is. Am I missing something? Why won’t that work? What else do I have to do?
If the game is already installed on your main hard drive (which I am assuming is the C: drive) you will have to uninstall the entire game and then reinstall it on your G: drive. Copying the files over will not work because the game will still look for the files where the original location is (was). Make sure you copy (or move) your downloads folder before uninstalling or you will lose all your downloads & families.
